Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsibilities
Design and Development: Creating, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components, often using CAD software.
Technical Drawings and Specifications: Developing and reviewing technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams, including other engineers and designers
Design Reviews: Participating in design reviews to present designs, gather feedback, and incorporate suggestions.
Prototyping and Testing: Supporting prototyping activities, conducting tests to ensure designs meet requirements, and troubleshooting any issues.
Compliance: Ensuring designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
Documentation: Documenting design processes, creating test protocols, and maintaining records.
Continuous Improvement: Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for optimization and suggesting solutions.
Problem-Solving: Applying engineering principles to solve technical problems related to mechanical systems.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. ME licensed is required.
Experience: At least 1-year experience as mechanical design engineer.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with teams and presenting designs.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed to identify and resolve technical challenges.
Project Management: Some roles may require project management skills to manage design projects and timelines.
